DocScanner 2.0.1 is now out! The new release fixes an issue with iDisk connectivity, makes DocScanner available in following languages:

• Chinese
• English
• Finnish
• French
• German
• Italian
• Japanese
• Portuguese
• Russian
• Spanish

We are also happy to tell you that the next major release is coming this year. It will include capability to search text within documents, WIFI-share and lot more.

DocScanner 2.0 is finally available in the App Store. The biggest new improvements are:

• New second generation image enhancement algorithm
• Evernote integration from App-to-App
• New vastly improvement user interface

There are also some minor bug fixes. DocScanner 2.0 requires iPhone OS 3.1.

September was the best month ever to us and we gained about 20,000 new users. Thank you all! We are already working on the next version and our development team has a new member. As usual, we’ll share some info about next release a bit before it is out. There will be couple of mind blowing features in it;)

DocScanner 1.8.1 is now released. There was no announcement of 1.8 here so will cover both:

• Version 1.8 added support for the iDisk and other WebDAV services.
• In 1.8.1 “Documents” menu is slightly upgraded for better usability.
• Both updates had some minor usability improvements.

Currently we are fixing couple of minor bugs. The 1.8.2 version will be out shortly. After this we will start to work with 2.0 release. 2.0 will focus to scanned image quality and add new & improved algorithms. 2.0 will be out in september. We will also most likely add translations in German, Japanese, Spanish, French and Italian to version 2.0.

We just released DocScanner 1.6.1 for the iPhone. The focus of this release was in performance. We managed to reduce time of the edge detection up to 50%. DocScanner is available in the iTunes App Store (iTunes link)

DocScanner 1.6 for the iPhone is now released (Link to App Store). This new version add support to new iPhone OS 3.0 feature “In App Mail” making it fully integrated to Apples native Mail App. There is also now support for creating multipage documents. You can use camera to scan multipage documents or add pages from the Camera roll.

DocScanner 1.4 was released today in the iPhone App Store. This new versions adds automatic & manual adjustments to light and contrast, improved edge detection algorithm and some minor bug fixes with email feature. We also updated docscannerapp.com and it now includes more information about email settings and more screenshots.

We will be working hard with DocScanner in the near future too, the next things we will implement will include some new features of iPhone OS 3.0 API, such as in app mail. Many of there improvements would be about overall quality and usability. Biggest plans we have about new features would be support for printing with Bounjour and possibility to order prints to any address at the world; maybe you have heard about our Postita online mailing service.

The first couple of weeks have been great with the sales we’ve been number 3 to 50 of paid business apps in European and US App Stores. Thank you all for this and stay tuned!
