The solution:
If you get white screen with title “Loading …” when accessing the album, you need to go to iPhone Settings and enable “Location Services” for Docscanner. If DocScanner is not listed in Location Services settings, go back to DocScanner and create one document with camera.

The idea is to take photos of business cards and send them to the service. Proven by testing, using a camera to digitize business cards is the most productive way to do it. It only takes a few seconds per card.

Your images will automatically turn into rich contact data. To provide accuracy like no other, it employs the latest science and human inspection. This is done together with Microtask. • Fixed camera freeze bug when standard image picker was enabled
• Fixed bug: if camera roll has hundreds of photos, it took long time to load thumbnails
• Document can be named before scanning

This bug will be fixed immediately, but it takes some time to appear on the App Store. Meanwhile, please do not activate the Standard image picker in the settings, as the application will freeze when scanning an image. Before the upcoming bug fix, please deactivate the mentioned option.

Please be patient, as the problem will be fixed shortly.

5.0 is a major update with major usability re-design including:

• New faster and simplified scanning process: Select the type of document, where to send to it and what file format to use.
• Batch scanning, select multiple photos at once.
• Configurable e-mail recipients makes e-mailing faster. No need to write e-mail address, subject and message every time you send a document.
• Send plain text documents. (OCR requires high quality photos for good results)
• Special image processing for business cards and receipts

The UI and the usability have also been improved. Now the use of the DocScanner S60 is more consistent.

Added new features:

• Multipage documents
• Evernote integration

This version also has many usability improvements for touchscreen devices.

DocScanner Mac upcoming curvature correction example

Today we announced about the new curvature correction algorithm we have developed. It will be added to DocScanner Mac soon. This new algorithm enables user to scan books with any camera. The algorithm generates two flat and straight pages from each picture of a spread of a book. It was not quite straightforward to develop an algorithm to solve this problem, so we are really happy to announce these news. An example image after the break.
