5.0 is a major update with major usability re-design including:

New faster and simplified scanning process: Select the type of document, where to send to it and what file format to use.
Batch scanning, select multiple photos at once.
Configurable e-mail recipients makes e-mailing faster. No need to write e-mail address, subject and message every time you send a document.
Send plain text documents. (OCR requires high quality photos for good results)
Special image processing for business cards and receipts

Great news for the Symbian owners. DocScanner S60 has been updated and is now available in OVI Store.
DocScanner S60 is now able to make multipage documents and send JPG or PDF -files to Evernote.

The UI and the usability have also been improved. Now the use of the DocScanner S60 is more consistent.

Multipage documents
Evernote integration

This version also has many usability improvements for touchscreen devices.

DocScanner Mac 1.2 released

This update adds automatic orientation detection and rotation of document images. An Email PDF -button to the toolbar is also added and some bugs have been fixed.

First, thanks to everyone who sent us feedback about DocScanner Mac. We got lots of it. Some about problems, some about what we have done right. We have read it all and answered to everyone. DocScanner Mac 1.1 mostly targets to fix individual usability issues, yet it also has overall improvements as well.

What’s new in DocScanner Mac 1.1

Beautified and more functional user interface.

The most notable change is the new appearance and new top bar in the main user interface. Color scheme has been altered so that DocScanner Mac does not get confused with Preview app. These two apps are likely to run at same time, since you can drag & drop pages between these two apps.

The top bar has now new buttons for various tasks to make it easier to use. We got a lot of feedback from users who experienced issues with the usability.

The New DocScanner Mac version has got an option to make custom paper sizes and adjust the excisting ones.

Improved PDF support lets you to edit imported PDF files. At first imported PDFs look just like any imported images, but once you choose to edit one, it’ll be transformed to an image (The DocScanner Mac will prompt each time).

The userface and usability has been significantly improved from the initial version. Theres buttons for the main actions on the top bar, which makes it easier to export PDFs, run OCR, edit pages and so on.

Choose DS Google Docs application to send pdf-file to Google Docs.	Updating files to Google Docs happens now in the background. Upload start, progress and finish/failure will be shown in status bar (Bar at the top of the screen)
While upload is still on going. You can check the upload progress by dragging the status bar open.	If you click upload progress item in status bar, you get view where you can interrupt upload process. To stop upload process just click cancel button.

- Doc Scanner’s pdf-files can be opened on Google Docs
You can continue to use DocScanner or other applications while uploading pdf-file to Google Docs.
Upload is now more reliable (The upload resumes by it self, if connection breaks down)

- For some phones native camera gives low quality image. Fixed to get better quality image or not to get image straight from camera at all. Phones with that type of camera application should take picture separately and use gallery to choose images that you want to scan.

DocScanner iPhone 4.02 released!

This update fixes bugs with the brightness and contrast sliders, paper size adjustment and the documents send to Dropbox or Google Docs now have .pdf extension.

Brightness and contrast sliders
In the early versions users had to press a button to update the adjustemts with the sliders, but now the sliders work in realtime and you can see the results as you make adjustments.

Paper size adjustment
This bugfix enables users adjust what the function actually was ment for. Before this, the adjustment was overridden and the result wasn’t correct.

Google Docs and the Dropbox .pdf extension
There has been reported issues with this one, but now the documents will have the .pdf extension and opens as a pdf -file.
